A small company in Arizona that builds the thing it sells.

Signal is the operating brand of SignalLab LLC. We are deliberately small, which is the reason we can afford to build custom software for a business your size instead of renting you somebody else's.

We are small, and you will deal with one of us directly.

No account managers, no pods, no handing you to somebody you have not met. That is a real constraint on how many businesses we can take on, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Patrick Jeffries

Founder

Patrick works the front of the business. If you met someone from Signal in person or got an email from us, it was most likely him. He also leads acquisitions at our affiliated holding company, which is why the conversation about what happens when an owner eventually sells tends to come up early rather than late.

Adam Caccamise

Founder

Adam builds the software and runs the analysis. Everything Signal delivers on the technical side, the system connections, the dashboards, the modeling behind a plan or a compensation structure, is built in house rather than assembled out of other people's tools.

Daniel Diaz

VP, Business Development

Daniel came out of sales and runs his own conversations end to end. If he reached out to you, he is the person who will be in the room, not a hand-off to somebody else.

Two companies, on purpose, disclosed up front.

Signal manages businesses. Vertis Holdings LLC, an affiliate under common ownership, acquires them. Those are separate companies and we tell you that before it is relevant rather than after.

It matters because of what happens at the end. If you ever sell, our agreement gives Vertis Holdings a right of first offer, and if Vertis passes, Signal acts as your broker. If Vertis is the buyer, the broker fee is waived and the price references an outside valuation. The alternative practiced nearly everywhere else is a "neutral" advisor with an undisclosed favorite buyer, which we think is worse.

Things you would find out eventually anyway.

We are early, and we price like it

We are building a client base, not defending a big one. That is why our pricing is below what established management companies charge in other industries, and we would rather state the reason than let you assume the number means the work is thin.

We do not publish client results

You will not find percentage lifts or revenue claims anywhere on this site. Numbers like that are easy to write and almost impossible for you to check, so we do not use them. What we will do is show you the arithmetic on your own business, where you can verify every input.

We will tell you if you are not a fit

If the work we would do for you does not create more value than we would charge, that is a no from our side, and you will hear it from us rather than discover it in month four.
